About the Department

A sworn police department for the lake community.

The Lake Royale Company Police Department is a fully sworn, trained, and equipped agency serving residents, guests, and Association amenities. On Association property its officers hold the same police powers as a local police or sheriff's department: they enforce North Carolina law, investigate crimes, respond to emergencies, and patrol. The department operates around the clock, every day of the year, with uniformed officers in both marked and unmarked vehicles.

Welcome to the Lake Royale Company Police Department's website. It is an honor to serve this community and to lead the officers who work to keep residents, visitors, and amenities safe.

Strong relationships with the people we serve are essential to a safe and secure community. My priority is community engagement and collaboration: building trust, staying transparent, and addressing the needs that are unique to Lake Royale.

The department operates with integrity, professionalism, and respect. Through ongoing training and current best practices, we will keep adapting so that we provide effective public safety services.
